I went to the Philippines in Spring 2010 for a vacation. My flight actually got cancelled because of the ash fall due to the volcanic eruption in Iceland but it was also rescheduled. A staff of Singapore Airlines especially called me up and rescheduled my flight.
I took Singapore Airlines going to Manila via Singapore. Singapore airlines left Zurich airport at around 12:47 p.m. on April 21, 2010, and arrived in Singapore’s Changi Airport at around 6:00 a.m. on April 22, 2010. We left Singapore at around 10:00 a.m. and arrived in the Philippines at around 1:00 p.m.
But my travel was not over yet, I still had a domestic flight from Manila to Kalibo. The flight was delayed for more than an hour so my agony of traveling for so many hours was definitely not over yet.
Eventually, the plane left Ninoy Aquino International Airport Terminal 2 at around 5:50 p.m. and we arrived in Kalibo just around 6:33 p.m. But again, my travel was not over yet, I still had to travel for an hour from Kalibo to Pandan.
Kalibo is a town in the province of Aklan and Pandan is a town in the province of Antique. I do not remember what time did we arrive in Pandan, Antique but it was definitely after 7:00 p.m. but before 8:00 p.m.
Finally, I was able to take a rest after several hours of travel. I did not go out anymore that night despite the fact that there was an affair at the town plaza because of the Tugbong Festival from April 21 to 25, 2010.
I was able to attend the Tugbong Festival in the town of Pandan in the province of Antique in the Philippines. I was able to visit a few places that Pandan boasts of like Malumpati Cold Spring, Bugang River, and its nice unexploited beaches.
