Bugang River, Pandan, Antique, Philippines 2010

Bugang river was one of the nice natural attractions that I really visited in Pandan, not only Malumpati Cold Spring and its beaches. Bugang river stretches from Barangay Guia to Barangay Sto. Rosario to Barangay Zaldivar.

Bugang river won the President’s Award for Environment “Gawad Pangulo sa Kapaligiran” as the cleanest inland body of water in the Philippines.

Bugang River Cultural, Nature and Adventure Tour also known as Bugang River Tour was awarded Gold Winner in the 2006 International Green Apple Environment Awards for Environmental Best Practice, Local Authorities and Ecotourism Category in London, England.

In that same year, Bugang River Cultural, Nature and Adventure Tour was first runner-up during the “Hiyas ng Turismo 2006” Nationwide Search in the Philippines.

It was awarded with “Dangal Ng Ilog” Award at the First National Summit on the State of Philippine Rivers in 2005.

Unfortunately, I have not yet experienced the Bugang River Cultural, Nature and Adventure Tour.

I hope I will be able to do it the next time I go back to Pandan, Antique in the Philippines.
